Botulin
A treatment used since 1980 by Ophthalmologists to treat squints and
blepharospasm, by Neurologists to correct facial hemispasm and by
Gastroenterologists to treat anal fissures etc.
It has been used in Aesthetic Medicine since 1992 for treating lines
of the upper third of the face (frontalis, glabella, perio-cular regions).
Botulin determines the chemical denervation of the muscle concerned, by
inducing distension of the overlying skin district. The phenomenon is
reversible: the muscle reacquires its contraction ability within 4/6 months.
